Please join us for an outdoor cocktail reception with full open bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres. See the John C. Calhoun statue up close, on display for the first time since it was taken down from Marion Square in 2020. We will have other paraphernalia from the statue to include several of the items that were found in the time capsule from 1858. We plan to share updates on the Calhoun Monument Society’s progress to date.
Funds raised at this event will be used to promote the aims of the Calhoun Monument Society which include preservation and eventually re-erecting the Calhoun Monument.
Please be sure to save your tickets after purchase as they will be required for entry to the event.
